Starting Taxol

I hope this finds everyone enjoying their weekend! I am curious to see how many are starting Taxol soon or have started. I just finished 4 rounds of AC and then on the 14th 12 weekly Taxol.

I'm finding im super nervous and so hoping the nausea is not as bad as the AC? I would love to hear from those that are in the same situation or have been on Taxol? Thank you for your feedback and hoping everyone is feeling strong!

Kay - Looks like I’m a couple weeks behind you. I have my last AC on 9/14 and then start weekly Taxol on 9/28. Sorry not any help to you but am curious what others may have to sT

Kay - and Britton - you may want to join the September chemo thread. Or August. Even though there are various different chemo drugs, the support was tremendous.

I start my first weekly Taxol treatment tomorrow. I will be taking glutamine powder. My MO also told me to take Claritin throughout. I wish I would have thought to ask him why. Does anyone know? I haven't seen anyone else post about it.

britton - Claritin helps prevent bone aches & pains. I never really heard the science of why, but it sure worked for me. I took 2 days before chemo and 7 days after. Make sure it's regular Claritin and not the "D".
