My boob shrunk :( a lot

Has anyone experienced this? I finished radiation early July and my right breast(the treated one) definitely became smaller, but overnight, it seems to be a whole size smaller-like you can tell in my shirt(if I am braless). I had NO idea that this would happen and wow, if it keeps shrinking, I will need implants to balance them. Ironically, four years ago, I had a slight reduction on this right breast as it was larger due to breastfeeding. Ugh. Another unexpected "gift" of all of this.

Yes, two lumpectomies on same breast and radiation resulted in a significant decrease in my left breast. I have to now wear a lightly padded bra (t-shirt bra) to hide the difference. With a regular bra I had to use a Knitted Knocker to fill the cup since they do not make bras with 2 different cup sizes nor would it look right if they did. BC the gift that keeps on giving. You are not alone.

so the radiated boob shrinks after radiation. does it ever come back? does the massage to break up scar tissue make it increase in size again? Or is it smaller forever (or until you gain more weight, which I seem to do easily)?

I was warned but also have a lumpectomy, reduction and lift in 2 back to back surgeries. The BS and plastic surgeon intentionally left my cancer boob a little bigger, so they’d match after rads. I was a little surprised that the rads side held the lift better but it’s not too obvious.

Was your breast swollen after your lumpectomy, to where it looked the same size as the other? Radiation can get rid of swelling. My breast had about a third removed and looked it from the day of surgery because I had no swelling (compression bras!). No size change from radiation, so 2 years out and lefty is still a lot smaller, as expected.
