Covid protocols and MRI

Has anyone had an MRI recently? Must you wear a mask in the machine? I have one first thing tomorrow morning and forgot to ask my doctor. Trying to gauge what to expect, as I’ve never had an MRI before and am a bit nervous. Thank you.

I had one in May, during Covid outbreak in my area and I did not have to wear my mask in the machine, but did before and after. You can call the facility you are having your MRI at and I am sure they will tell you. Hope this helps.

I had one in June. Had to wear one while waiting and leaving. Just have one on your face, they will tell you what to do.

hi. I just had one 2 weeks ago. They let me take it off while in the machine. The same for my CT and bone scan. I asked. And tech said ok. Because I was getting anxiety. Hope this helps.
