Severe Animation Deformity

Hi All - I had a unilateral mastectomy last year and recently underwent reconstructive surgery on that breast and also had a small implant on the other breast so my breasts would appear to match. Saline round implants were used on both breasts and placed under the muscle. The breast that had the mastectomy has sever animation deformity. It is so severe that you can see the breast moving and creasing in half under my clothes. Apparently I have very strong breast muscles due to a lifetime of sport. My plastic surgeon is suggesting removing this implant and placing it above the muscle. He has warned me that the edge of the implant will probably be noticeable. The edge of the implant is noticeable now and I did have some fat placed in this breast. I am thin so I guess that makes a difference. Has any one experienced this problem and did they find a solution they were happy with?

    Hi,

I can't really comment but I am curious to read the responses. I had a double mastectomy 3years ago and went direct to implant. I'm thin and the implants are small. Any flinching of the chest muscle and my boobs squish in. Just went to the PS yesterday. At 3years post I had to have a breast mri to check on implants and everything. He said I could do a revision, go a little bigger and go on top of the muscle but , just as yours said, it would be more noticeable. As it is now, you can feel the edges of my implants.

I'm really not sure if and what I will do.

I look forward to reading others responses.
