Hi,

I just got back the pathology from a lump in my reconstruction and it came back as fat necrosis (yay!).

I did notice that I was positive for the CD68 test. Does anyone know what that means? I tried googling it, it it’s confusing to me.

Not sure where to post this, so if there’s a better place, please let me know.

So glad your lump is not of concern. Sorry I don't know the answer to your CD68 question. What did your doc say?

I will talk to him about it at my next appointment coming up. I just saw the report that was posted online.

It looks like it could be a marker of inflammation and immune response. The literature I found is very dense and technical. I think testing it was part of answering the question of what the lump was.
