    Hi everyone,

After a long day, I am relieved to say I do not have breast cancer! I arrived at the clinic 99% sure I would be leaving with bad news but I am so happy and relieved this is not the case. It feels like a whole weight has been lifted off my shoulders. When I arrived, I was given a physical exam by the Dr and told I would need an ultrasound. I waited around an hour to get this as the clinic was extremely busy and they were running slightly behind. During the ultrasound I expressed my concerns to him about inflammatory breast cancer and that my symptoms seemed to show signs of it. He said that he was 100% sure that I did not have this, as what I thought was dimpled skin was actually just large pores. He also said that I had absolutely no skin thickening which would of indicated IBC. He said the breast tissue looked completely normal and that IBC would show some irregularities on the image. There were no lumps, bumps etc. I know that sometimes a mammogram and ultrasound may not detect this type of cancer so I asked if there was any chance of a biopsy, however he said that he was that certain nothing was wrong there was no need and nothing to really biopsy. It did put my mind at rest, he was so sure. The conclusion he came to is that my symptoms are being caused my inflammation and the pain may be coming from my chest wall. He also said to use pain relief if the pain continues and keep an eye on the symptoms for the next couple of months. I am so glad this is the outcome

I'm so glad you had a good appointment and that the doctor took the time to talk to you and reassure you that everything looks fine. Great news, and thanks for letting us know!
