Long term disability (LTD) and current job

Hey, all.

I am out on long-term disability from my job. It was a hellish job for me and was making my health worse. I was Stage IV when I took the job, doing ok on treatments, and after 2 years of trying to make it work, I had to leave on disability. During my time there my health was getti g worse, and within two weeks of leaving work, I was throwing up blood and ended up in ICU (portal hypertension from several years on Kadcyla that took out most of my liver). The stress I'm sure contributed to my eventual hospitalization.

I am now approved for long term disability through LTD insurance the job offered. Two weeks ago the HR person from the company I was working at emailed me asking when I was coming back to work. I replied that my doctor did not think I would return to work. Today I got an email from that HR person asking to meet over phone. I assume this is to tell me I'm being taken off their health insurance and to mail in my badge. Still, I'm wary. Anyone experience this?
