Possible recurrence on opposite side

Options

Hey all! I just had an MRI of my chest well and axillary nodes and I was expecting a negative (normal) report. The nurse told me my mastectomy scars good clear as well as my left axillary but my right side had two nodes that were abnormal. I just had a biopsy done and results will be in next week. Anyone have a recurrence opposite side without a palpable tumor?

    Meeeeeee.

Was clear 7 years, had bmx. Then the other side started itching. A lot. Mentioned it to MO. CT lit up. Took out 7 positive nodes. Now on ibrance/letrozole. Much easier to tolerate than IV chemo.

Apparently for me, itching is my sign I have ca somewhere. Just had a squamous cut out of my hand that was making me crazy itching 😂😂

lol thank you for the reply! I have had crazy itching on that side for weeks now maybe months when I think about it. Doctor feels it’s like a 70/30 chance cancer since nodes still have hilum but thickened cortex and abnormal shape. I hate the waiting! Onc. Says that depending what feeds the cancer might have to do IV chemo again and radiation. But no plans until results back obviously lol

Interestingly, itching was the only symptom I had. I wonder how many other people herehave experienced that?

I’m curious too I do get frustrated that doctors tend to ignore concerns if the symptoms aren’t “typical” . Well if cancer back I’ll be the second one to say itching was the symptom lol

Didn’t you just have a biopsy on the nodes in May? Was the biopsy negative?

I had one on the left side and it was negative just reactive thankfully .It didn’t look suspicious to doctor just large (still is) so I asked for it to be biopsied and I wasn’t even looking into the right side when I had the MRI. Right side two lit up and then ultrasound confirmed abnormality birads 4 so did biopsy same day (yesterday)

Re itching. A friend who is stage 4 de novo recently had a liver flare. She said her skin in that area itched like crazy, nothing she put in topically would stop it.
