hello

I went to the doctors with a painful lump and I have been referred to the breast clinic for a scan but there are no appointments yet (I rang today) but I am on a two week wait. Does anyone know if that means that I will be seen within 2 weeks or receive my appointment within 2 weeks? Just turned 30 and it feels a bit much right now and I’m just a bit anxious, I’m hoping it’s a cyst but any advice would be much appreciated.

Kind regards

Lauren

Were you referred by your PCP or by your OB/Gyn? I'd call back to that doctor and have them pull some strings to get you a firm date.

Are you in the UK and, if so, which nation? There are different rules about exactly what the 2ww means and time frame.

My gp put me through a nearby trust that had openings at the clinic but is not where I have treatment. I had an appt within 2 weeks of seeing the gp, but I had clearly concerning signs and was over 40.

If in the UK you may want to seek advice about this on the breast cancer now forum on how to push this through given the impact of corona on clinic and wait times.
