Hi everyone ,

Well I had Stage II BC , slow growth diagnosed in November 2015. Double mastectomy Jan.2016. Onco was moderate score so no chemo or radiation. Had reconstruction a few times. I was first put on Letrozole, which I took for about 9 months, couldn't handle that, then I took Exemestane for a couple of years and that really gave me hot flashes, sweats, fatigue, bone pain . Oh I had a small heart attack. Don't know if it was from the Exemestane or not. Took a bout a 3 month break, but I knew that I had to be on something, since I had 9 nodes removed from right arm and one had some cancerous cells even though all margins were clear. Okay I went on Tamoxifen and for about 8 months it was just okay. All of a sudden I started getting horrific leg cramps ,but infrequently, Night sweats and very frequent day hot flashes. My oncologist wants me to be on it for another 4 years. Yikes! I just made the decision to stop all of it. At least for about 6 months so I can feel normal again. I'm "70" but extremely healthy, at least till this all happened. Ha! If anyone has quit their medication, but still afraid , join the club. I guess we will always be looking over our shoulder, or should I say at our breasts.
