Hi everyone,

Please can we share discount coupons for compression garments? Insurance does not cover these for some of us and buying 2 mediven harmony gloves every 6 months isn't a joke. Please help us out if you have coupons for our day to day compression wears. I wear juzo sleeves with either juzo or mediven harmony gloves.

Thank you all.

You're right about coverage. Medicare pays for nothing. But I've never seen any coupons. I'll be interested to see if anyone else has.

Check with the social worker at your cancer center who may be able to offer local resources who can offer free or low cost to cancer patients. Best wishes.

msprecious - has your insurance confirmed that your compression garments are not covered or are you being told this by the supplier? Have you had any therapy associated with your lymphedema that was covered? I was told by the insurance biller at my medical device company that my sleeves and gauntlets are not covered by my plan. I paid for one set of bi-lat sleeves and gloves, about $250. I happened to being chatting with my insurance referral management person and said it was time to get new garments and lamenting that they were not covered and how weird that insurance covered the therapy but not the garments needed to keep from needing more therapy. She said, well of course they are covered and gave me the code to give to the medical device company. They were doubters but billed the new garments and they were covered at 100%. Medicare is a different animal and garments are not covered because they don't meet the definition of any category of care currently. Adding a new definition means rewriting legislation by Congress. Bills have been introduced a number of times but have yet to be successful to date. Super frustrating to have recurrent out of pocket expenses like this. I will move to Medicare next year, not looking forward to that aspect.

Thank you bcincolorado. I'll work on your suggestion.

Thank you SpecialK. My insurance has a huge deductible which I can't meet, so they said they can't pay for compression garments unless I meet the deductible every 6 months.
