I am NED from triple neg metaplastic grade 3 and was unable to get treatment past surgery (first dose of chemo put me at risk for bowel perforation). That should have left me with a poor prognosis but I am fine. I have never thought my status as NED was because of something I have done or am doing. I am 73 years old, obese with diabetes, heart disease and small airway disease. I believe heart disease of stroke will kill me but my cancer not coming back is a "fluke". Although some have said my obesity caused an elevation in estrogen which might have put me at higher risk I am hormone negative so that theory is invalid.

It is impossible to guess outcomes for any of us. Your being fine a year after diagnosis is a fluke. If you are simply fulfilling a promise to return to BCO a year after diagnosis your first post would have been sufficient but you went on to make claims about something that was not scientific and not really helpful. Again visiting a forum where unscientific methods are a theme might give you the responses you are looking for.

The past trauma causation is a common victim blaming explanation I've come across before. Although it may come from well intensions, it is extremely offensive, as is saying no one dies from breast cancer.

Also, - w/out clear information about your diagnosis, the post is at best meaningless, at worst destructive as it might kill someone who decides to take your advice.

    Dear Members,

It seems as though this discussion has run its course and we have decided to close the thread for now. We hope that you all understand. You can continue to communicate with one another via private message on this topic as you wish but the on-going argument is probably not in the best interest of the community at large. Thank you for understanding.
