The soul would have no rainbow had the eye no tears.

Divine -- he is a cleaver man, this Mr. V. Smith. It probably ( just like you ) got the attention of a lot of people who otherwise ( had it been labeled totally politically ) would have not even started to read it, let alone finish it. I had to finish just to GET how it turned out at the end. Hopefully a whole lot of your friends and neighbors did the same. Well, he has my vote.

I don't actually hate ( it is a very strong word ) the Loon. He just became quite a willing vehicle for the Reps. to let loose their inner realities which have turned out to be chillingly adverse to democracy. It just scares and upsets me that the idiot Reps. are willing to hang on and therefore if we don't work out hearts out we could be suppressed and manipulated into losing the up-coming election and further not doing well in '24 either. I'm praying that we are able to see the light and fight harder than ever.
I did read on the way here that we need to message every chance we get that the Reps. are the party of nothing. They no answers to problems and yet they are talking about their perceived wrongs of our party. That is a lot of their made up wrongs. We are going to have to beat them at their own game and keep throwing out their greed, avarice and all their losses while they have no answers for anyone save only themselves in their quest for greed and power. Their constituents mean nothing to them, just as they meant nothing to the Loon. They are wearing his CLOWN shoes and we need to make sure at every step they take that is what people see.

Hi Ladies! It's off-topic, but I wanted to share. I just posted pics of my latest Half-Flat fashion design in the Artists' Gallery. You can see it in through the link below. My DH is in the National Guard, and we had a formal dining in this past weekend. I'm very pleased with how it came out, and I got quite a few compliments.

Miriandra- You look beautiful in your beautiful and cleverly constructed gown, I especially liked your first pose with your arm extended - like a 1930's movie star!!
-
Oh my gosh, Miriandra, you look gorgeous! Your dress design is beautiful and looks fabulous on you! Well done!
(Btw, I didn’t know of that artist’s thread and will have to check it out more when I get time!)
-
Oh my goodness, your gown in stunning, Miriandra! It would look gorgeous on every body type.
*I didn't know that there was an artists thread either (probably because I don't have an artistic bone in my body) but have added it to My Favorites so I can enjoy the creativity of others.

Occasionally in life there are those moments of unutterable fulfillment which cannot be completely explained by those symbols called words. Their meaning can only be articulated by the inaudible language of the hearts. -Martin Luther King, Jr.

Mirianda, I think the quote today fits you and that beautiful dress. It is just stunning and your modeling skills are fabulous. You just look like you are so enjoying having that dress hug you. I am quite fond of velvet, but have learned through you ( not that I have ever sewn ) that it can be a possibly difficult fabric. You are bursting with talent. I think I know something that may end up in my favorites as well.

I did read this morning that it was felt the prosecution put on a really quite good summation and I hope that this will make a difference because it sure seemed the judge leaned way over to give Rittenhouse a huge chance to get off.

Have to love Big Bird

Sad that a big yellow puppet bird has a larger brain than its human detractor. Go, Big Bird.

Love Leonard Pitts articles but this one is discussing a really disturbing situation. The deplorables seem to want to run this country and so far it seems they may have the upper hand. I am hoping that those of us who disagree will be able to unite to overwhelm their actions.

And when we come to think of it, goodness is uneventful. It does not flash, it glows. It is deep, quiet, and very simple. It passes not with oratory, it is commonly foreign to riches, nor does it often sit in the places of the mighty: but may be felt in the touch of a friendly hand or the look of a kindly eye. -David Grayson

That is a good, if upsetting article Betrayal. I too hope people who are sane and delve into real understanding ( as much as possible ) will be able to overcome those who are using dis-respect to try and change situations to their liking. I'm thinking many ( were they actually successful ) would find they might like things after all. They seem bent more toward power rather than realizing that that many things are powerful but have their place and mis-used will not likely achieve what is best for all. Many of them would end up under the yoke they mean to avoid.
-
Yes and how sad that this is who Reps. chose to represent them. Wonder how many changes of heart have come about.
-
I hope he continues to be the Reps. downfall, because it is the only way we can truly restore so much of what we had after the Loon came with permissions for all the Reps. Yet -- he turns on so many of them. He and the whole group of them are deplorably pathetic.
-
Love the IQ points/Happy Meal meme. I'd say you would end up with a true fiscal deficit in their evaluation. Ashamed to even acknowledge that they are by appearance women. What a pathetic tribe of deplorables they are and then there are their male counterparts who are equally deplorable. Hillary had it correct and unfortunately she was not believed so we pay the price.

Love Nancy Pelosi’s trophy, Alice!!!!! Perfection.

Too (ironically) funny!

"Wholeness is a state of being. It is your true nature and core essence.
The world would convince you of the separateness of everything you see.
See the world through my eyes, and you will see the union
that encompasses all of creation--the loving essence of God
that is the glue that binds all of creation into wholeness."Voice For Love.

Paul Gosar was at least censured and stripped of his committee posts, but hasn't been fully expelled - although he really needs to be. After the vote, Kevin McCarthy objected and said that Gosar does not condone violence. Just a few minutes after that, Gosar made a liar of him by retweeting the murder fantasy video after it had been taken down. Gosar is so disgusting, even his own family is calling for his removal.

I am so frustrated with the Reps. party. Also scary is the fact that the media makes it sound as if any election held right now would surely go Reps. I don't have their confidence. I fail to see why reasonable, rationale by sane people would lead them to vote for Reps. at this time. I do worry at the amt. of Democrats that would have to vote to overcome gerrymandering and suppression of votes while I do think it is possible.
I just can't see that people would want to vote for a party that basically stands for nothing, while running the worst candidates possible since the Loon backs them.
