Trishyla, I bet she is okay but I may give her a nudge if she doesn't see your post. She said of her disappearance after Trump had been in office for a stretch of time that not only did it depress her a lot and make her highly anxious at the same time, but she felt like in reality there was nothing left to say. So, for some time she bowed out of participating while some of us hung on. She didn't give us up -- but she was fairly infrequent. Then as things started to build up a couple of months I think before election time ( 2020 ) she came back with a delightful vengeance.
My bet is that she is feeling much more secure than in a very long time and is feeling for that reason a renewed enjoyment in some of her leisure pursuits, one of which I think is watching birds parenting their newly hatched young. I'm sure it is a comfort to know you can enjoy the things you do w/o the niggling worry in the background that someone is daily blowing up your world and your life.

I was thinking of Trill today, too, and miss her! Hope she's well and would love to hear from her.
Dh and i got our 1st shot of Moderna today. We go back in 4 weeks for 2nd one. I read it's 94.1% effective two weeks after second dose and 50-80% after first. From what I understand, all three vaccines seem to prevent and possibly even eliminate hospitalizations and deaths.
Today, Alaska is 1st state to open their vaccines up to anyone age 16 and up.
Ohio will make vaccines eligible to age 50 and up on Thursday, only one week after making age 60 and up eligible. From WaPo: “Some health commissioners asked DeWine to lower the age pointing out it would be a move toward equity to vaccinating more minorities since they do not generally have the life expectancy of white residents, who form a larger share of older Ohioans.“ I'm glad DeWine listens to his medical advisors.

Unfortunately the main reason Biden doesn't rally the Repubs as much in outrage is because he is an old white man.
But I am still quite happy to see him as President. And Kamala Harris of course as VP. And I hope that we will soon see the real twilight of the old misogynist racist guard. And the ascendence of true multicultural democracy.

Not to poo Pooh Alaska, BUT!! Their entire population is less than my county here. The news outlets don’t frequently say that Still, good for them.

Definitely in a nutshell. The whole thing with the covid stimulus is the ultra-rich did not get a share this time. Nothing is quite as ugly as the Reps. greed and apparent hatred of those who actually benefit ( poor people ) from a monetary infusion and have to put it right back into the system. Unlike the super rich they cannot hoard or invest -- at least not in stocks and bonds. They have to have gasoline and food and rent monies.

Oh do I hope.

Anyone want to Zoom on Saturday? I would have to set it up for 11:00am Central as I have something going on at noon.

When you spend your life doing what you love to do, you are nourishing your Soul. It matters not what you do, only that you love whatever you happen to do. Some of the happiest people I've known have been nannies, gardeners, and housekeepers. They put their hearts into their work, and they used the work itself as a vehicle to nourish their Souls. I've known other people with more prestigious professions who absolutely hated their jobs. What good is it to be a doctor or a professional if you do not genuinely love what you do? Working in a job you do not love does nothing to nourish your Soul.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Claims Stimulus Checks Contain Secret Routing Numbers Enabling Banks To Give People Money

Do I get a complimentary one for being Jewish 🤣?
-
Is your cat Jewish? I think that might determine whether it's free or not. 😄
-
Wait! My oldest granddaughter has a cat, the lovely Prinny. Does that count?
-
Then I think she's eligible for the free laser! I want a laser too. I wonder how I can get my hands on a Jewish cat?! 🐈

There are days when I wonder how some of these nitwits know how to get to work.
WATCH: Dem Colorado Rep. Jason Crow Rips "Depraved" Lauren Boebert For Her Pelosi Gunshot Video
Since the day they took office, Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene have seemingly been locked in a battle over who could be more controversial. Greene looked to be taking a commanding lead last week, but now Boebert is making up ground. Earlier this week, the Colorado congresswoman released a video ripping Speaker of the …
and the one you put in Ruth about Greene's routing numbers. If she was any dumber she'd die of it.

I love this one, because it is so true. It wasn't just us here in the U.S. when Trump lost. He was universally disliked and not trusted and to us he was also such an embarrassment.
-
I put this on here because I just saw something to the effect that Jen Psaki said in the daily press briefing that Biden signed the bill and that stimulus checks could be starting to go out this week-end. Hmmm. If that is true there are going to be a lot needful happy people.
and it never even occurred to me that someone of Biden's stature would even think of putting his name on a stimulus check. When he impresses people it is from doing the RIGHT things when they should be done, and then remains humble afterwards.
-
Hmmm, maybe this is where I saw that.
You think someone will tell Green who has the "routing" number.
-
I almost ( just almost ) can't believe this was put out. What I will remember is how YOU outbid governors trying to get supplies and how you lied about covid and the huge dangers it presented and lied if after you got it. I will remember that due to your ineptness over a half a million souls are no longer here with us and I will also think about if you were not in the O Office we would have had a person who would have known the exact steps to bring us safely through. You were too busy preening with your incessant 'briefings' that were really 'rallies' in disguise. In the meantime, watching tv and golfing.
This little piece of yours is disgusting.
