Ruth, Thank You and Caryn for taking the time to try and set this fun meeting up! If I had learned to operate a computer, it would have been a snap. My computing consists of HERE (strange) and QVC. I do know amazon and I read news(?). Don't do Facebook anymore. Will be reading all week and hopefully see you next week k2k

Eventually we WILL connect!!!

This makes me so happy. And Charlie Crist, now in the House, a former governor here, is seriously considering running again!!!🤞🤞
-
I was not able to do the Zoom meeting today as I didn't get back home till long afterwards. I see there were some issues although I was able last week to get into Ruth's meeting. Here's hoping.
Spookiesmom, I will have to look up Charlie Crist. Seems to me I listened to him before and he seemed fairly down to earth if I recall. He didn't seemed inclined to me to feel he had to stick his nose up anyone's backside to get along in other words. I'll laugh if he turns out to be a Democrat. I really don't recall -- only that he sounded pretty reasonable and generally speaking only swayed by facts.
-
I missed the Zoom as well. After rowing I took a nice bubble bath, then when it was time for the Zoom my mom called -- all excited because she just got her first dose of vaccine!
-
Charlie was a 1 term Rep gov. Had been Ed. Commissioner and AG prior. He pissed off the Rs after a pic showed him with his arm on Obama's shoulder after Os visit after a hurricane here.Ran for gove as a Dem. Lost. Ran for US House as independent. Won, is there now. I'd vote for him no matter what party. He's that good.
-
Okay, I do have egg on my face. It doesn't sound like Charlie Crist was always a Democrat. The blurb I read on him said that he wrote a book in 2014 and that the extreme right hijacked the GOP and that he became a Democrat then. Well, that would explain why he souded SANE and someone who could be worked with, huh. One of my 'duh' days I guess.
I can identify YeslamaDragon with your Mom being excited about getting her vaccine. Dh and I both have felt that. We will worry about the amt. of people who choose around here to go maskless. Also, those new variant strains are showing up here so I do think it is more important than ever for those who are willing to take the vaccine to get it as soon as they can. As previously mentioned -- we are fortunate here that we are NOT a big city, but since people do come and go we still have to worry. Also, I'm not very trusting of my Reps. brothers-in-law. They have been what I thought was a bit casual in the past and likely still to some degree are.

Love the victim card and I know a whole lot of people who would likely just check them all. Oddly of all the things my family tends to find wrong they seem not to have so much as ten minutes to work on these things and " make " them better. Well, hey, what the heck could you do to make Fox News better. I think they may be wondering that themselves.

Not political, but struck my funny bone!

Hope it’s chocolate ❤️

I hope it is orange creamsickle cake.

I never met a cake flavor I didn't like!

I am left wondering just what it was that Trump wanted us all to achieve. Maybe the willingness to kiss his ring any time he asked. I got a lot of feelings in relation to Trump, but never that he wanted something that was any good for me. So what the heck Ms. Greene is talking about, who the heck knows.

Love the rainbow laser meme....and the guy who didn't vote......and yeah, how about all those fake news stations NOT getting sued!
-
Y'know, if we Jews actually had space lasers, don't you think that Chicago and large Northeastern cities wouldn't be in the grip of the Polar Vortex right now?
Ruth, thanks for riding to the Zoom rescue yesterday morning! Caryn, hope you two can suss out why we kept getting booted over to Google and then getting those "not configured" Error 303 messages before Ruth posted her url. Small but very pleasant meeting!

Right before the Superbowl started, a video clip of the President and First Lady was aired. Not only did they stress the importance of mask wearing, but Joe also asked for a moment of silence for the 440,000+ people who've died from Covid and all the families and loved ones affected by those losses.
Did Trump ever, ever, mention those who lost their loved to Covid or ask for a moment of silent prayer for them? Mr. Supposedly Sent by Gawd Awlmightee?
