Thought I had my computer ready to maybe do the zoom thing, but it didn't connect this morning. I will try my geek squad and see if they have some ideas for me.
ETA: Did play around and able to get the speakers on so now I think I only need to figure out the camera. Baby steps, but hopefully I get there.
-
Yay! That was fun! Please, let's do another Zoom gathering.
-
This Zoom meeting was awesome! See you all next week!
-
Despite not have a camera it was major fun. Looking forward to the next one.
-
Thanks, Ruth. Zoom shut us down before I could say thank you!! Good to "meet" folks.

We are all soooo fortunate this thing is gone, but we are going to have to work hard to get rid of the abnormal that gets people like him an open door. Just can't go back to something like that.
-
Hi! the few minutes I was there Caryn helped me about the MIC, although I spelled it MIV. Thank you Caryn. I found I have to turn on the camera in my settings.
Ruth Thank you for hosting! Thank you for you. I'll look forward to next weekend.
My name is KATHI. kad2kar is my here name. Ruth did shorten it k2k. anyhoo! LOVE you all

On here just because its a darn neat picture. In fact, I love it. Just mentioning that lately it seems the more good things Biden does, the more some of the MAGA ( the former neighbor I grew up with ) people put on mocking memes almost before Biden can get thru a full 7 days on the job. That is pretty strong resentment of their loss, I'd say.

I FORGOT!!!!!!
(blaming rotten chemo brain and forgetting to put it on my calendar. But I told my husband RIGHT before I went to row that I had this call today)
-
Thank you Ruth for setting up the meeting. I'm full of gratitude to all of the BCO members I've cyber-connected with since my diagnosis in 2012. It was great to connect faces with user names and user names with real names. This blog has been the best therapy for the last 4.5 years. Thank you, thank you, thank you. -d-

We had so much fun Zooming this morning! We had a total of nine people there at different points (two with technical problems, so we are still working out the glitches.) We decided to Zoom again next Saturday at the same time. Exbrnxgrl will set it up because she has an unlimited time account, and since her's is an educators account, she has more control of the participants accounts if we need to do some problem solving (for example, she can unmute people....or mute them if necessary ). Look for the information and join us if you can! (If you are interested but haven't ever used Zoom, and want a practice session; PM me and I will set one up & walk you through it.)

This is not political, but I love it!
-
Thank you ruthbru for hosting the Zoom meeting. I will set up next Saturday’s meeting because as ruth mentioned it’s the account I use for teaching and I have no time limits. I do have a small security concern with posting the meeting invite on a public forum. That’s how much of the Zoom bombing that we heard about happened. I could pm the invite to everyone who is interested
-
I'm interested
-
I'm interested. Will be able to visit for awhile.
-d-
-
Add me to the list, please!
Edited to add: can you set it up as a recurring meeting so you don't have to pm everyone every time? Or would that be a violation of your account?
-
Yes, I can set it up as a recurring meeting using the same meeting info, but I won’t be available on 2/13 as I’ll be recuperating from surgery (polyps in my sinus cavity that are like having a constant sinus infection and it’s pushing my septum to the left). So other than 2/13, I’m good!

Blue girl = THANKS for the women video. I have tears running down my face. That is SOOOOO powerful. I'm considerably older than many of you and remember back a LONG time to "empower women",although it wasn't called that at the time. So I was burning my stir fry dinner to watch the end!!!
-
Ruth: I did mean to try to attend. But because I'm going to a police training in 10 days, I needed to get with my son to learn something about MS Teams. And I totally forgot. FYI - I think Zoom is much easier.
exbrn - So do you need an email address to set up a recurring meeting? Or will you still post a link on this thread?
-
Ruth, I'm definitely in. It was so great putting faces, real names and voices to the screen names & avatars. Definitely worth not sleeping in on a Saturday.
-
Well, heck, as I told Ruth in a private message, I totally forgot about the zoom today! It was on my calendar, but I got wrapped up in a work project and totally spaced it.
Ok, you all can believe that if you want, but the real story is that i was too busy trying out my new Space Laser!!! :-)
Anyway, YES, in for next Saturday and I promise not to flake that time, Please send me the link!
Thanks to all who helped make this happen!

I would like to retry as well.
-
Hopefully we can do something about them as well.
-
Ruth: Forgot to say how much I liked the library meme. It was great.
-
-
I would say that definitely put Cruz in his place. Such a slimy sleaze.
