Hmmm, wasn't law and order about all Trump had left after covid came along and the economy pretty much flew the coop.

Just because they backed away from Trump when they knew he was going to be a loser ---

She is right -- none of these people would really want to resign and probably hurt them where they really live with a clear record of shame by conviction.

I think this just shows there could be a price to be paid for the 'company' you keep. Also, maybe some clients might not have liked the idea that you make enough from them to donate to someone like Trump. You obviously made enough to show up at the Capitol. As has been said before -- go ahead and cry - you'll pee less.

I hope at least some of y'all remember the Leeroy Jenkins video from a dozen years ago. Someone layered the soundtrack on footage of the insurgency. xD

Hearing today on tv as well as on Raw Story that the Pentagon is refusing Trump's request for a military send-off when he leaves early on Wednesday. It was said that he was going earlier rather than later so as to still have the plane he uses designated as Air Force One the whole way and upon landing. I happen to agree with the Pentagon. Trump has done nothing to deserve a send-off befitting a president as he has sullied the ofc. immeasurably as well as himself. What ultimately takes place, who knows. If Trump can come up with some other way to flatter himself I'm sure he will but not sure at this point what in the world that could be.
I read as well that some of those who went to the Capitol to do Trump's bidding are quite upset with Trump and do not have the greatest of things to say where he is concerned. They apparently feel that once word of his impeachment came and he made a video more or less throwing them under the bus because they " needed and should have been peaceful, etc .", that they are okay with Trump getting tromped on, put in jail, or whatever inglorious event might take place where he is concerned. The bad part is that they sill wish to carry on with the possible overthrow of democracy. Some things just are harsh and we will have to be on the look-out for a long time for subversive entities. Here's hoping that we are able to find the worst and rid ourselves of the BIG troublemakers.

Divine, I hope you are doing okay.

Thanks, Ruth. I am hanging in there but it hasn’t been fun. Dh also positive. His symptoms milder and different than mine so he’s taking care of both of us. I have no appetite yet am so hungry. Drinking lots of gatorade and water. Still running low grade fever. Can’t wait until that stops. The cough is the most annoying part. Hopefully I’m on the slow but steady climb out of having the virus.

GS said he lived on oatmeal while he had covid. He couldn't taste anything, so it didn't matter what he ate. Lost 15 lbs, but gained it right back when he could taste again.

I'm so sorry Divine! Do you know how you caught the virus? Were you and your Husband together? I AM more afraid of the virus than I am of the vaccine. Were you out with a group? We still go to the store a few times a week, but only with a list, and we go early, so as to not be around many people.
Hopefully you will feel better soon........
Still hurts from the cracked rib/ribs... but I can take 2 Aleve every 12 hours the Pharmacist said.... And I still use the pain patches & heat...Never did hear back from the email I sent my PC.... So much for them caring what happens to their patients now-a-days...

Pingpong -- it is so scary and also so heartbreaking. I knew Trump would be a hideous president or figurehead. I did not realize there were enough people who would be willing to go to war against democracy as they have and I do fear that many will try to continue. I think I read somewhere that we are going to have to change it all back but in ways that are able to give back and safeguard our democratic systems. Have to make sure democracy lives on.

No matter how far we get in straightening out the country after the Reps. have been in chg. they do blame us for every little thing as though we are cleaning up after ourselves instead of them. They would have you think they do no wrong -- but they can spot others mistakes if made a mile away with one eye closed.

Just a reminder although I think the hue and cry was enough to get them to zip it up on this one:

Really proves how early on this should have happened and I hope it is a HUGE reminder that lies and misinformation need attention sooner rather than later:

Didn't seem to want to get them while he was in the Oval --- but I would be VERY concerned now that they would be used a way to not only sell us out while making money, but just to overall hurt us ( particularly the us who did not vote for him ) and our country/democracy.

How you can be sure one side has the slimiest of notions.
