I have been taking Anastrozole for two years after BCS and RT for DCIS. I have gained 40 pounds!

In the last six months I’ve gained 18 pounds (I weigh 165 and am 5’6”) despite religiously limiting my calories to 1200 or less per day and I now walk between 7 and 13 miles per day averaging 9.3 (bless you Apple Watch)over and above my normal here and there walking! I am 68 years old and four hours of walking per day hurts. My TSH result was 1.62 six months ago but I just realized BIOTIN interferes with the TSH test (understates it). I was taking biotin becUse my hair was thinning and fingernails were splitting vertically ouch with deep ridges.

I just had a blood test yesterday retesting TSH, if it’s not a thyroid problem I don’t know what I’m gonna do to drop this weight.
