imageHi,

I have these two hard bumps along my surgical line. Has anyone had this? I have a tissue expander in. The tissue expander is below the muscle.

Have your doctor check it out. I think this is not an uncommon issue... but those look large enough to be alarming. It could be scar tissue but I was also told recurrence also commonly forms along the scar line. I have some "texture" along my scar line that felt like little bumps that were scary. In a way it's good you have two... maybe it is just scar tissue. It takes about 2 years to fully heal from mastectomy.

But your doctor needs to look at it, they may image it or want to biopsy it or take a sample. I wouldn't freak out about it yet though. (something I DO very easily)

The Doctor said it is stitches coming through. When I get the left side off they will check this

I had a couple stitches poke through like this...your body can sometimes try and kick them out. I did have one actually work it’s way out (and it was a bit painful!) but the others calmed down. Glad it’s nothing major for you though!
