Hi everyone!

I went for my mammogram this year which was pushed back a few months due to covid-19. I just went at the end of May. And of course, there's a spot in my right armpit that looks suspicious so had a follow up u/s on Monday.

Now I'm scheduled for a biopsy next Thursday. I am praying that it is nothing and I can just go back to my regularly scheduled life. I feel like I have been finally getting my life back after leaving an abusive relationship that lasted 12.5 years. (What kind of guy yells at you that he has no clean pants when you're recovering from a mastectomy?). I left last August.

Anyway, if you could send a prayer or good vibe to me, I would appreciate it!

Kathy

what do they mean by a "spot?" an actual spot on the screen or an "area." Your diagnosis sounds similar to mine! I've had reactive nodes since my surgery (1 or 2 of them). They biopsied them once, it was a pain in the ass! then the tissue came back as muscle, I had to wait a month and do it all over again! I had convinced myself it was the worst..... was benign. But I still have issues and monitoring and it's stressful as fuck. Pardon my language.

I've learned not to jump to conclusions, though I still do..... it's easier to tell other people not to worry. Technically the odds are in your favor. So I would try not to stress out too much. Keep us posted.

    Thank you Valentine21 and blah333!

I'm glad you shared your story blah333 - looks like we have similar past diagnoses. I only had a mastectomy on the left though. The spot/area is in my right armpit. I've had breast tissue in that area since I was nursing my son who is now 34.

Do you experience any pain? I feel sore after being squished on Monday.
