Pain circling around left nipple

Hi everyone! I'm new here.

So, i'm 21 and started having pain around the rim of my left nipple around last November. Its a pinching type pain that lasts anywhere from three seconds to three minutes. The pain is only ever on the rim of my nipple and changes positions. For a while I thought maybe it was hormone related and just dealt with it. It seemed to go away (or calm down?) up until last month. Now I get the pains every single day. Even while on my period. Some days are worse than others but it always happens at least twice a day and the pain isn't unbearable. I'm getting really scared. Espcially because it only seems to be happening to my left. I tried looking for lumps but i don't think I feel anything significant. I would go to the doctor but I'm afraid of going to a place like that and catching COVID-19 and bringing it home to my at-risk mother whom I share a bedroom with. Does anyone know what this mystery pain could be? Thanks!!

The conventional wisdom says it a pain lasts 2 weeks you need to call your doc.

Nobody here can diagnose your pain. We're not doctors and it would be highly unethical. Medical offices are taking strict precautions and your chances of catching Covid-19 (or anything else) in a gynecologist's office are really minimal.
