https://www.bmj.com/content/369/bmj.m1570 This British study compares risks for invasive breast cancer out 20 years for women treated by lumpectomy, mastectomy, with and without radiation, hormone therapy to the general population. My take-a-ways? comfortable that I had lumpectomy, radiation and tamo, and that I am still being followed by RO and MO eleven years out but that I have to change my opinion that mastectomy for DCIS is often over-treatment.
