Can IBC be a recurrence of IDC?

Hi everyone

I'm almost 2 years since diagnosis of IDC. Had some pretty significant damage from radiation and breast lymphedema. I've been seeing a physiotherapist that's specializes in breast care for over a year. I've recently had a cording flare up as well. During the last few months that while physio was closed, my breast had become inflamed and I assumed it was the lymphedema. Finally saw my therapist again in person last week, 5 minutes into session, she tells me she would like me to phone my doctor and ask for an ultrasound. I still thought nothing of it. Whe I saw physiotherapist again today, she really pushed her advice of ultrasound and was phoning my doctor to urge her to send me for one. It was until this evening that I realized that I have all the symptoms of IBC....but what are the chances of that? Can't find any info. Has anyone else had one form of BC then a recureence of a different one?
