Sclerotic lesions on CT scan

Options

I'm hoping this is the right place to post this question.

2 years ago I had a dbl mastectomy. Yesterday I went to the ER because of what turned out to be muscle strain in my oblique area. The CT scan also showed "2 tiny" sclerotic lesions in my lower spine that were not in my CT scan from 6 months ago. The Doc said they could be nothing but it's best to have my Onco Dr do a bone scan just in case. Just fyi the CT scan six months ago was w/o contrast and this new one was. I'm kind of freaking out. I have always had back problems all my life and have been told I have scloriosis of the spine. I also just had total knee replacement 4 months ago (infection?) A bit scared here. Thank you for any advice or info.

Hi, I am going through the exact same thing right now. Clear CT scan 7 months ago. I am only 3 months out of ACT/chemo and 1 month out from radiation. Found a few sclerotic spots. I just had my bone scan yesterday.

Definitely do a bone scan. Again, could be nothing. My onc is sort of worried as these small spots were not there before, so she ordered a bone scan. She also said it could be damage from treatment and monthly Lupron for almost 8 months.

    Did you have chemo?

No chemo, radiation or hormonal therapy. I was considered stage 1b and my Mammaprint test came back low chances of return. Nodes were all clear also. I'm reading about damage from treatment (knee replacement) is one of them. Keep me posted please.

Will you be getting a bone scan? My MO said mine could be due to metabolic changes, but a bone scan will provide more detail. During the scan, the tech said he compared my bone scan from 7 months ago and didn't really see significant changes. This really gives me hope. He also said techs sometimes miss things. Praying for you and good results on your tests.

Yes, my Onco will be calling me tomorrow to set up my first bone scan. I sure hope your tech is right. Will they be able to tell what it is exactly? Thank you for your response. God Bless.
