I had a mammogram and ultrasound today and now my right breast is swallen and quite sore. Is this normal?

    Hi Gidget! Sorry you're here and swollen after mammogram and ultrasound, but glad you found us! Hope some of our experienced community members will come around and share some input. In the meantime, we would recommend you to call your doctor and explain your symptoms. It shouldn't be something serious, but that may help you ease your mind!

    The squeezing of the breast especially with 3D mammo or any diagnostic mammo may lead to swelling and pain. This should resolve on its own. Please put your mind to rest. All will be well.
