An overlooked trigger for hot flashes.

I was just curious if anyone else has experienced hot flashes as a response to microstresses.

For example, that minute point where you have had enough of a conversation, a minor disruptive exchange or encounter, or decide you need to take a break from something.

Oh, yes. Any little burst of emotion of any kind could do it. For example, the little excitement of arriving at the restaurant and greeting friends already there, giving or receiving a compliment, being introduced to someone. Tamoxifen.

I’ve noticed the same thing, though I find mine are related to situations that make me uncomfortable or anxious, as though the hot flash is almost like an adrenaline surge. I frequently, when I feel excited about something and feel those adrenaline butterflies, I find myself having a hot flash, too. It’s almost like my brain can’t regulate the adrenaline
