Tamoxifen and menopause

Hello, I just started Tamoxifen today as my surgery was postponed due to COVID-19. How long were you all on the drug before you stopped getting your period? I am 45 and not having any symptoms of menopause to date. Just wondering what to really expect as far as side effects go.

    I started Tamoxifen in Feb 2014, and I have yet to enter menopause. My periods have effectively gone away (spotting only), but my cycle is very regular still. That has been unexpected per my oncologist. Note that I have had zero day-to-day side effects on Tamoxifen. However, I have increased ovarian cyst activity that may have been more likely in my body due to the Tamoxifen.
