Lupron dosing-still getting a period?!

Options

I’ve been getting monthly lupron injections since January after my bilateral mastectomy in December, and I’m still getting a period almost every other month now. My MD has increased the dose once already, and switched me from letrozole to tamoxifen (I’m only 27) in the meantime until we can verify that my ovaries are suppressed, and every time we think we’re on the right track I wake up with a period. He’s looking into increasing the lupron dose again and thinking I should come in to get it before it’s technically due, but I was curious if anyone else getting lupron has experienced this? He said that my best plan would be lupron injections and letrozole for 5 years (at least) and it stresses me out that my body isn’t reacting the way it should to these meds. He doesn’t have a clear cut explanation for what is happening either, which is fine just frustrating. He said the last time this happened that it may be due to my age, but my last labs showed my estrogen level was consistent with menopause.Any experience anyone has with this I appreciate!!
