Swelling three weeks after mastectomy.

I had a mastectomy with tissue expander three weeks ago today. This mmorning I woke up with my breast feeling different. I didn't have the super uncomfortable feeling I usually do and the area under my arm felt tighter. There may be more swelling under my arm. My husband said it looks the same but it feels different. I'm worried that the expander leaked somehow but don't know if this is possible. Should I call my surgeon.

It's possible that it could have leaked, but since it is filled with saline a leak shouldn't hurt you. Did you also happen to have lymph nodes removed? That could explain underarm swelling from lymphatic tissue build up. Still, it doesn't hurt to call your doctor just to ask.

hello dear if you feel uneasy yes do call your doctor. Take care hang in there. msphil idc stage2 0/3 nodes 3mo chemo before and after Lmast then after one filling my expander hardened and I was taken to hospital it was removed had 103 temp then we got married was planning at diagnosis. Then 7wks rads and 5yrs on Tamoxifen.
