Adriamycin vs Carboplatin neoadjuvent?

The oncologist started my mom on AC neoadjuvent, because initially he thought it was triple negative from SISH test. But after 2 cycles of AC, a FISH test showed it was HER2+, but the oncologist decided to continue finishing remaining 2 AC cycles. Now after 4 cycles of AC, the tumor shrunk only 32%.

I'm wondering if Carboplatin would've been the better choice to start with than Adriamycin? I know there is a slight risk of heart problems with Adriamycin, but the oncologist said this was very rare. But I mean in terms of actual response to the chemo, would Carboplatin be better than AC? Our oncologist said there was no difference. I did research online but didn't find any studies saying that carboplatin is the better regimen than AC.

Decker - you should stick with the other thread you started. People have already been answering over there and explained lots of reasons why & why not. In any case, it's too late to second guess since it's done.
