We are all Beautiful...

I looked at myself really good when I took shower yesterday. My first thought was I look like a alien from outer space. I then said I look beautiful. The scar is clear across my chest and a pretty darn straight line. I am healing very well the nurse said & this morning I can really see I am healing well in places. Some areas are still swollen a little but ... "I LOOK BEAUTIFUL".

I feel really good this morning. Made my hubby breakfast while he did the heavy lifting of the cast iron & anything high or heavy. He was so happy for he knows I am healing well when I want to treat him to my big sky breakfast. We both have a love for the kitchen & work so well together on everything. I am so lucky.

I just wanted to say to all who is scared to see themselves after surgery. Embrace it. For we are all beautiful in the inside and out. And we are so very lucky even thou we are still fighting the battle. I never plan to stop fighting. I might be terrified at times, but will rise up stronger and stronger. I have already seen myself do it.

I see my life as one big journey of adventures. Some adventures are so freaking fun you don't ever want it to end and others are so freaking scary. This part of my journey is teaching me so very much like don't take things for granted. Embrace what is there. Cry, scream why me and stay focus on what is really important around you. My family and friends have and continue to be here for me. and I so hope the same is for you all as well. I wish each and everyone the very best and many, many (((Hugs))).

Just remember ....We are all beautiful!

    Earth Sky-

What an amazingly great post! I'm so glad that you are healing well and have found strength in your journey. So much of what keeps us going is a good outlook and gratitude.

You are so right, we are all truly beautiful. Yes, our bodies look differently but our battle scars are reminders of just how strong we are.

Good luck with the rest of your journey. You've got this!

    Hugs,

    Rebecca

Thank you so much for your comment soulShine1969. I have always tried to be a positive person. I long to inspire others for no matter how bad my situation might be, someone else might be worse. And want to help others if I can, even if it is with prayers or kind words. I long for happiness for everyone.

I still have a journey of Radiation therapy and whatever else comes, but I got this. The hard part was the surgery & excepting my new body. The rest ... well I got this.

I hope you are doing well on your journey and best of luck as well. Our journey only makes us stronger.

Earth Sky, I just read your post and you have inspired to be positive and know I am beautiful - breast or no breast. I had my unilateral mastectomy 10 days ago, am achy, still have a drain in place and have my 1st post-op visit Monday, 4/20. I will find out pathology results then. I have peeked through the bandages and it's hard and shocking to look at myself, still bruised and it appears I look quite concave; am quite thin as well having lost weight since the diagnosis back in February. It's quite a process to take in and this part of the journey has just begun with all it's ups and downs. Thank you very much for making my day and knowing there is so much to live for. We all are survivors. I wish you good health and happiness!

Hello rosecal954, You are beautiful and do stay positive. You can do this. We all can do this. Just take it one day at a time and if you want to cry, do it. For I was told crying is part of the healing and it is.

I totally understand the emotions for it is a lot to process. I meet with my doctor Wednesday to remove the drains and then meet with my Radiologist to talk of further treatment. I am okay with that for I want to make sure all the cancer is gone. I figured the hard part is over and this is just part of the journey.

I am so glad I was able to left your spirit. We have a lot to live for, we are survivors and we are here to inspire each other on this journey. If you ever need to talk, vent just contact me.

Stay positive and remember you are Beautiful. I wish you all the best for good health and many ((hugs)) and may happiness rain down on you!

Your writing is beautiful footprintsangel. I really believe we are giving challenges in our life for a reason and in those moments we are to learn so much about ourselves. A gift that was hidden perhaps. I too find myself writing more & longing to inspire others more. I have always gone out of my way to be kind and was told recently in spite of what I am going through I put others first. I am a prayer warrior among so many and was told yesterday that it inspires her even more to be a better person & to cherish life more. We are all here on this earth for each other & in that time kindness is what I give.

Keep writing and perhaps write a book to share with the world. May happiness follow you on your path.

That is so true footprintsangel, God doesn't make mistakes, he gives us the strength to be stronger and to be so grateful for the gift of life. Kindness is a way to say thank you for all that is around us. Many hugs my friend.

As I saw the many people angry cause they want everything to

open, I think of those that are not well and the tears that God

is shedding for His children that want be out and close, while

He see people trying to get well. What would Jesus do?
