Social distancing at home?

So, he and I wear masks at work and I wear one when near others in general, just not at home. But there has been no hint of intimacy for over a month since he believes we shouldn't come too close to one another. His thoughts "no one can tell if they are sick (before they get sick, DUH), he thinks that if one of us is positive (without testing), then one could infect the other.

No touching or hugging is the worst for me. The closest I got recently was when I got change back at the store. Had to use hand sanitizer afterwards but, that was actual human contact. This really bites.

I'm trying to not be up in my husband's or daughter's faces, but otherwise we're just kind of being normal. I wash my hands a lot and shower after work. He works at home. I have a medical job (not a nurse, but allied health in an outpatient clinic). I can't handle wearing masks at home. The day long mask at work is driving my ears crazy. We realize the risk but it is what it is. We also don't want to have me trapped in the bedroom for the foreseeable future. If I start getting symptoms I will stay away from them though.

I have two kids in the San Francisco area so read their quarantine/social distancing rules closely when they first came out. They do not apply to people who live together. That said, my husband and I are both working from home now, so have *very* little contact with anyone else. We're proceeding as normal around here. Same with my one CA kid and his wife, and my other CA kid and his roommate.
