Week off of Ibrance
This is my first week off of Ibrance. Three weeks on and one week off. Not feeling full of energy and pep. Wondering if it is just me, or if this is typical. I am taking Letrozole daily and 125 mg of Ibrance.
The only time I felt good was walking in the woods near where we live and when I sewed some masks to wear.
Thanks!

Could be the letrozole too - I can't remember, are you on the Zoladex injections too, to stop your periods? ( I seem to think not) I notice I get more pep the further I get from that injection, though that unfortunately coincides with when my Ibrance week is off.
Give it a few cycles for your body to adjust to all the new drugs and their side effects. Also, 125 may not be the right dose, but your doctor will see how your bloods are doing and adjust. I was a hair under the line to keep going at that level, but I just remember my legs burning and the deep bone cold I was having at that level, so they dropped me down a step and its been fine AND I do get the pep from the last two weeks of the month or so. I've also found that to keep moving and staying active even when feeling some fatigue is also helpful, although there are certainly days when its Fatigue City and no convincing yourself otherwise will change the situation (usually days 10 and or 13-15 in there, depending on the month).

Hi, woodlands!
As well as the personal experiences you'll hear from other members here in the discussion boards, the main Breastcancer.org site has an article on Ibrance (Palbociclib): Side Effects, How it Works, and More that may help you understand some of the symptoms you're feeling and how to deal with them.
We hope this helps, and hope you feel better soon!

Hi woodlands.
I have been on Ibrance for 2 1/2 years. Yes the fatigue is real. Mine does not rear its head just on the week off, but anytime. I will be doing something around the house and BAM feels like every cell is exhausted. I have to sit/lie down for a while. My MO says any of the meds I am on-- Ibrance, Letrozole, Lupron (Zoladex)-- can cause it. And with using all three she said no wonder I have fatigue. I do treadmill walk 3-4 times a week, but I don't really see that exercise helps any. I just know when the fatigue hits I have to rest. And I have to pace myself anymore--not going full steam like I used to. I am 49 years old so this was a hard pill to swallow. Here is a link to the Ibrance Thread. All of us on this Thread are on Ibrance. You can get a lot of help from these ladies. And we discuss possible next treatments after Ibrance stops working.

I’m on cycle 6 or 7, don’t remember, don’t count. The fatigue is real. As others have said, when it hits, you must stop to rest, or nap. There are days I tell Spookie let’s go to bed, mommy is tired, can barely make it to crawl in. This lockdown isn’t helping this either, we stay home.
