It's been a while since I've updated anyone about anything. But here's a good summary, since apparently is surgery day:

I have a phyllodes tumour, and confirmed borderline now. I did the consultation with the surgeon (one Dr. Merchant), a really nice lady, and we're going for a local anesthetic and sedated extraction of the tumour, plus about 1cm around it of "healthy" tissue. Obviously after that, it'll be sent to a pathologist and I'll known within 2 weeks if it's malignant or just borderline. Either way, it's Dr. Merchant's recommendation to get radiation therapy. I'm sort of on the fence. I guess you could say I'm...borderline certain...heh. Hehe. Sigh.

Anyway. I thought this surgery was going to take like 4 weeks to happen because of the limited OR time at the hospital (thanks, Covid-19!), but there was a sudden open slot today. So in 1 hour and 15 minutes, I'm going to be prepping for a day surgery situation and having Mr. CancerWalnut taken out of Mrs.LeftBoob.

I can't bring anyone with me though, not that there's anyone available for it, so I have to cab there -and- back, alone (thanks, Covid-19!). I think I"m cursed when it comes to surgery. My last surgery had me hospitalized for 6 days, Dec 19 to 25th, with Christmas Morning surgery. Nothing like a little general anesthetic to kick off Christmas!

I am taking this seriously. Just think it's insane that I couldn't even warn my mother, who wanted to be in town for this event, and she's 7 hour drive away. Oh, well.
