Body temp out of whack

I started Tamoxifen a week ago and since then I’ve had the most bizarre body temperature issue. I go to bed at night wearing my normal pjs. I wake several times with my lower half soaked from sweat and my top half shivering cold! I’ve folded the duvet so it only covers the top half with a sheet only on the bottom half but it’s not helping. Is this “normal”

    Hi PMML,

This does sound normal, as night sweats/hot flashes are a common side effect of hormonal therapy, such as tamoxifen. There's surely someone who can weigh in soon with their experiences and tips, but in the meantime, you may find it helpful to read up on the main Breastcancer.org site's page on Hot Flashes for some practical solutions to manage this uncomfortable side effect.

We hope this helps and that you find relief soon!
