Continue Chemo with corona spread: Adjuvant chemotherapy
Hello All,
I was very confused if i should go for the first session of chemo, but thanks to the support from an awesome group of people here i was able to reach a decision of the benefit chemo will have in my case
Quick History:
Age 59 years 9 months, Female
Previous history: Ovaries removed 12 years back (no cancer found, just had fibroids)
DX: breast cancer in left breast on 23rd January 2020.
Mastectomy done: 30th Jan 2020
Initial test reports:Grade 2,
Ssize of tumour: 18 * 18* 15 mm
ER: Positive 8/8
PR: Positive 4/8
Her2Neu: Negative (after Fish)
Ki-67 (MIB-1)- 12-15%
Invasive Ductal Carcinoma; Grade 2
pT1c N0 (sn)
Sentinal Lymph Nodes free of tumor (0/3)
Onco DX: RS 30
Initial Confusion (Sorted, but important to understand for background):
Before the Tailor X trial 18-30 was moderate risk, Tailor X proved 18-25 for women above 50 have negligible benefit of chemo (<1%), but sadly they did not do the split test for the range 26-30 and gave a absolute benefit of > 15% for everyone above 26.
Now 26 - 100 data is taken from the older (NSABP) B20 trial where for the 18-30 range sample data size was only 134 people and the for the first 8 years the data almost showed no benefit of chemo (just in the last 2 years of the graphs there is some benefit of chemo).
If the Tailor X trial included 26-30 for hormone and chemo groups results would not vary from less than 1% benefit of chemo to > 15% benefit from 25 to 26 or 30 RS score.
We were very confused if we should get chemo or not, but decided to go in for the chemotherapy even though in our understanding the absolute benefit is not clearly proven with OncoDX of 30 and marginal (3-5%) based on https://breast.predict.nhs.uk/tool and http://www.lifemath.net/cancer/breastcancer/therapy/

Prescribed: 6 cycles of EC: 3 and D 3
First Chemo: given (9th March 2020) EC
Next Chemo Date: 31st March
Current confusion/Question:
With current situation of corona virus and my chemo being an adjuvant therapy, should i continue with chemo or move to Hormone therapy? (Does benefit of chemo outweigh the risk of Corona)?
I have taken 2 opinions from 2 different MO's and first MO asked me to move to hormone therapy and second MO asked me to stay on chemo and do 4 instead of 6.
What do you suggest to me in this case.. I live in India and the whole country is under lockdown currently and the the spread of corona is not at community spread stage but still on an increase.
