Maximum-tolerated dose of capecitabine

Hi everybody It's the first time that I discover this community , I feel very lucky to find such a community that discus interesting breast cancer question ,

My mother has an Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of stage 3 locally advanced , she has 6 chemotherapy sessions (Taxol,Cytoxan), after the chemotherapy she has a surgery and after that doctors say that she need to add capecitabine, but I am confused because I noticed that the dose given by her doctor is high 3500 mg/day.

4 tablets of 500 mg in the morning ,30 min after the breakfast , and 3 tablets of 500 mg 30 min after the diner , totally 3500 mg/day.

My mother has 1.77 m² as body area surface.

Has anyone here already take such a dose?
