If you had breast reconstruction and found you needed 2 or more additional corrective surgeries to get the results you wanted, we would like to hear from you via PM or in this topic: We're interested in hearing about the following:

(1) How did you find the plastic surgeon who eventually gave you the results you wanted? What was that process like? What questions did you ask? What advice would you give a woman just starting her search?

(2) Did you have any difficulties in paying for your corrective surgeries—whether because of resistance from your insurance plan, high out-of-pocket costs, or both—or other factors? Were you able to overcome those barriers? What advice would you offer to women who are just starting to explore their options?

2A. Did you have to prove to your insurance company that the procedures were medically necessary, and not just cosmetic? If so, what was that process like? Was there certain language you were advised to use?

2B. If you're on a government-funded plan such as Medicare or Medicaid, what was your experience like getting covered for corrective reconstruction?
