Black streak in nail

I recently finished chemotherapy and have a vertical dark stripe in my thumbnail. Weeks ago my onco said it was from the chemo. Since then I have kept it covered with dark nail polish. Today I removed the polish and my nails are in tough shape and the dark stripe has not changed. Anyone else experience this?

no I haven’t, would see a dermatologist for that.

Yes I have and it takes a LONG time for it to grow out. Toenails take a year.
But yes, I would see a dermatologist to make sure there are no other problems.
