Does Anaestrozole make immuneo surpressed

Options

Of course everyone is concerned about the Corona Virus, because I am taking a form of oral chemotherapy with this medication. Does this put me at a higher risk of getting it if exposed? I also work with a hospice program that visits skilled nursing centers and Assisted living facilities who are screening visitor with these type of questions.. If I say I am a member of a higher risk group, then most likely I will not be allowed to work.

None of the aromatase inhibitors (letrozole, anastrozole, exemestane) are immuno-suppressive drugs. However you mention oral chemo. Would that be Ibrance or Verzenio? Those do suppress the immune system. Please consult your mo to find out your individual risk.

MarieBernice, anastrozole is not a form of oral chemotherapy, you are mistaken about this. Anastrozole is a blocker of your female hormones and does not suppress your immune system. If the question they asked is whether you are on chemo or on any immune-suppressing drug, the answer is no, so you are good, dear.
