Hello everyone.

I was recently diagnosed with IDC. Prior to my surgery I had neoadjunctive chemo. We thought there was only one node, and we thought they were responding to chemo. After surgery they found 4 nodes. The nodes had barely responded to chemo, but the tumor had shrunk significantly and was 95% dead cells.

1. I read online that 4 nodes is a significantlay worse prognosis than 3. Does anyone know if this is true?

2. Has anyone else experienced this when the nodes do not respond but the tumour does and done well?

Thanks everyone . Very scared

I had 6 rounds TCHP before my surgery, but did not have a complete response. So after surgery & before radiation, I had 4 rounds of AC chemo. Then rads. This is not exactly what you're asking, but thought it might add some info. I am now 5 years post active treatment and still NED.
