taking first tamoxifen today

hi! im taking my first tamoxifen dose today and id love to hear from fellow travellers who took tamoxifen without all of the horror stories so prevalent on the internet and these forums

Hi Dana - I have been taking Tam for around a year and a half and I am doing fine with it. I can't say I have any side effects that prevents me from living a normal life. I have tried taking it atdifferent times of the day to see what works better. If I took it early in the morning, I thought maybe I will be more fatigued during the day. If I take it too late, I may have trouble sleeping. I am not sure what is the right time to take it at this moment.

I did have joint stiffness, feet pain and occasional leg cramps while sleeping but that went away. I also tried eating more anti-oxidant and anti inflammatory diet and I think that is working.

ive decided to try it at night since i dont really have any reason to wake up at special times and think disrupted sleep is probably better for me than disrupted daytime QOL
