Chemo caused menopause

Hello,

I'm 45 and was dx about 9 months ago. I've had a lumpectomy, chemo, radiation and I go see the Oncologist again in a few weeks to discuss 5 yrs of hormone suppressing drugs. I'm already dealing with hot flashes, oh nelly! and I have the joint stiffness too. I had a uterine ablation a few years ago so I haven't had a period in years but I didn't start the hot flashes till the chemo was almost finished. I had 4 rounds of TC that ended right before Christmas. My question is will the hormone pills SE be that bad if i've already started menopause due to the chemo? How much Chemo did it take for you to go into menopause? After all I've been thru the 5 yrs of terrible side effects has me more worried than anything else.
