My doctor has OK'd me to use Mepital film during my radiation treatments. I have to buy it myself. I want o make sure I get the right one to use for radiation and he right size. Does anyone know where I can purchase it?

    Thank you.

Looks like CVS has it in two sizes. It is spelled Mepitel.

Welcome Padug to our community. Indeed, MelissaDallas is correct.... you can find Mepitel at most drug stores, and Amazon as well. This website gives some explanation about the different types: https://www.woundsource.com/site-search?addsearch=....

However, you should probably check in with your radiation treatment team to ask them to specify which they recommend.

Let us know what they say!

I told the doctors about this film. They don’t know anything about it and are asking me. The largest size CVS carries is about 4” and I need to cover 1/2 my chest, so not big enough. I tried speciality pharmacies and hospital outpatient pharmacies and DME pharmacies - no luck. I contacted the company and their reps, in my area at least, don’t carry the Mepitel Film. They recommended Mepilex Lite or Mepilex transfer - both available at CVS online for $114 for 4 films. However the company told me the evidence is biased on use with electron beams and not photon beams. I am getting photon beams. Has anyone used or know of a film used during radiation with photon beams?
