Cordyceps for radiation protection?

Hello,

I'm just about to start chest wall radiation. My acupuncturist recommended Cordyceps to help protect my lungs. My radiation oncologist doesn't have an opinion either way since she's never heard of this supplement. I checked with a naturopath who specializes in cancer and she has never heard of using cordyceps for radiation protection, which surprised me because a quick google search pulled up a bunch of studies.

I'm wondering if anyone else here has used cordyceps during radiation to help protect the lungs? I'm being recommended 1.2 grams a day, spread over 3 capsules.

    old post.. now that you are finished with rads. my doctors reccomended no supplements or herbs at memorial sloan kettering. but my integrated oncologist says they are fine to take with my AI. hope they help give you some energy.
