Hello,

Is there anyone on here just using hormone therapy? I am currently taking Kisquali and Letroxzole, although the Letrozole side effects are horrible.

    Hi pippa,

I have cycled through all of the AI’s, with no other drugs, for over 8 years. I have not had any progression but I was simply trying to find one that didn’t make my joints and bones ache. For me, they all do but I manage with Alleve during the day and cannabis at night. When I was first dx’ed, drugs like Kisqali, Verzenio, Ibrance etc. had not been approved. Since I’ve maintained NED on AI’s alone, I’m staying the course until I experience progression

Thank you! I was doing well a couple of years ago using only tamoxifen. Maybe my Dr will switch me to something else. Do you still get scan and tumor markers done?

Hi Pippa, I started on tamoxifen about 5 years ago and couldn't tolerate the SEs. Had a complete hyster (long story) and switched to Arimidex in July 2016. I've been on it since (coming up on 4 years) with no progression. SEs are mostly managed with Motrin. I recently started getting therapeutic massages and these have really helped with releasing some of the tension in my muscles that was caused by joint pain. As a result, I'm able to walk more and just generally feel better. I plan to keep up with the massages for the foreseeable future.

I'm going to talk to my mo because my tumor markers went up although I feel fine. I don't know if the Kisquali is even doing anything. Its gets so frustrating. Thanks for your replies
