It is faster and more accurate to copy and paste reports here than to transcribe them. It also avoids the problems encountered with the autocorrect feature, plus it makes sure that we can depend on the accuracy of words like no, not and now.

There are a few ways to do this depending upon what you are starting with.

The goal is to convert your report to a PDF file. The text in a PDF file can be copied and pasted into posts and messages in this forum.

With the PDF file open on the screen, you would need to SELECT ALL then COPY then PASTE the report.

If you are starting with a JPEG or PNG file from a patient portal it will need to be converted to PDF first. Its pretty straightforward on a Mac and I assume it would be in Windows as well.

If you are starting with a paper report it would have to be scanned into your computer first then put through the above steps. If you have no scanner but you have a cell phone with a hi res camera, you can take a photo and take it though the steps. It has to be without motion artifact and fill the frame completely. Enhancing the image helps too.

After it is pasted you can delete any personal information such as full names and addresses.

Re-read the report to make sure it all transferred. After you submit it, go to your post and make sure you can read it. If you cannot, edit the post and try again.

If you are using Linux installed then I assume you have far more computer knowledge than I do.
