I was diagnosed with IDC in December & had lumpectomy Jan. 27. I have been having pain not near my incision area but like on the side of my breast near my rib cage up into my breast only at night When sleeping or when I first get out of bed. It disappears quickly when I get up or massage it. It comes & goes, is not all the time. I am big breasted, DDD not sure if that matters. See my radiation doc for consult tomorrow & my nurse at breast surgeon March 9. Just wondering if anyone out there has had anything similar? My breast has been imaged several times by 2 diffhospitals during surgery consult... I feel like I will worry about every pain I have for a long time! Thanks in advance ladies!

yes! I was seen for that issue as well. I was told to stretch in the shower and that it was probably due to my exercise routine. I applied Tiger Balm to the area and laid off the workouts. It took around 6 weeks to resolve. Good luck. It really can be quite painful and annoying but it’s probably a benign condition

Yes, that is a common issue unfortunately. However if scans check out, I wouldn't be too worried.
