bracytherapy-- should I or shouldn't I?

Options

Doctor said I may or may not need radiation, but if I did, I would be a good candidate for brachytherapy. I've read that there are a few different types-- on this site, but which one is better, or has less side effects? Which one offers lowest recurrence rates?

I don't want radioactive seeds swimming around in my body, so how do they eliminate that possibility?

if you go to pubmed and research the medical literature, you MAY find answers to all of your questions. Unfortunately, you won’t find specifics. The reason is there are many types available and none have been studied long term. When I was diagnosed a decade ago, I was offered it but chose whole breast radiation because there was little data. Today, there is more data, but more types of machines to compare.
