In July 2019, I was diagnosed with stage IIIC (cT2(m), cN3b, M0 triple negative breast cancer. I had a breast tumor and lymph node biopsed. After the biopsy, I had an MRI in July. There were actually 2 breast tumors greater than 2.4cm found along with several small tumors. My onc did not feel biopsying the 2nd breast tumor in July would change my treatment plan -- which was 4 round A/C, followed by 12 weeks of taxol and 4 rounds of carboplentin. Following chemo, MRI showed tumor growth in the non-biopsied tumor. I had my bilat mastectomy with axillary lymph node dissection on 2/7/20 My pathology report demonstrated the two types of breast cancer -- triple negative and estrogen positive. My onc will start Xeloda after I've recovered from surgery, followed by radiation and now hormone therapy. My question -- have any of you had two types of breast CA? Any insight you can provide?
